The Property Department was founded in 2013 to assist small retailers with their property strategy - specifically site identification and lease negotiation

In 2020 TPD Asset Management was established to work with owners of retail property

Our vision is to help investors and retailers achieve their business outcomes by supplementing their knowledge with our expertise, skills and systems

Our experience and systems have allowed private investors take control of their property portfolios, ensuring effective management and compliance without handing over control to someone else

We can assist with outgoings budgets and reconciliations, financial management using our state-of-the-art property management software, leasing, due diligence and preparation of an asset for sale, or alternately we can provide a full property management service

Alan Baynash - Principal
Alan has over 25 years' experience in the retail property sector. During that time, Alan has worked for private investors, major institutional landlords, local and international property agencies, as well as retailers - both small and large. He has managed, leased, and developed iconic properties including Centrepoint Sydney, and Sydney Airport as well as having significant experience in small centres and stand-alone assets.
Alan's knowledge and expertise coupled with his financial acuity and systems development allows him to provide his clients with a bespoke service not readily available in the market.
Alan holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of NSW, and a Real Estate Agent's Licence in VIC.
